The project comprised 17 five storey residential blocks, 1 three storey social block and 1 central boiler house/tank room.
The Campus is located in landscaped grounds & provides: 1188 en suite rooms, 40 bedrooms adapted for disabled students, 3 staff apartments, 19 studios & 93 married quarters.
The services incorporate: a centralised boiler plant, CHP plant with underground district heating and distribution mains. Block plant rooms contain LTHW plate heat exchangers for heating and separate plate heat exchangers with storage calorifers for domestic hot water distribution. Constant pressure extract ventilation, boosted cold water distribution, mains cold water, natural gas. BMS, hydrant mains and waste system.
Electrical distribution from two substations, including: transformers, site wide LV distribution, all internal/external lighting and power. Specialist services include a fire alarm system with Tyrell working graphics. Swipe card and intercom access system. CCTV security cameras and a site wide data network solution.
